Guantanamo Bay Naval Base, located on 120 square kilometers of land and water in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, has long been a subject of international controversy. The U.S. leased the base for use as a naval and coal station in 1903 and continues to maintain it today, despite protests from the Cuban government, which views its presence as a violation of international law.
Since 2002, the base has been home to a military prison housing detainees captured in conflicts in Afghanistan, Iraq, and other regions during the global war on terror. Reports of prisoner mistreatment have drawn international condemnation.
Recently, however, a former American soldier’s startling revelations have added a new layer of intrigue to Guantanamo’s story. He claims that during his service at the base in 1968 and 1969, he witnessed alien spacecraft taking off and flying from a massive underwater base near the bay. These observations were shared with the Mutual UFO Network, an organization that investigates UFO sightings.
The former marine, who chose to remain anonymous, described numerous sightings of extraterrestrial craft during his time at Guantanamo. He recalled witnessing nightly flights of alien ships just 100 meters above their heads, with strict orders not to discuss these sightings in public.
One particular incident left a lasting impression. While guarding the main gate of the garrison at 7 p.m., he saw a large white cloud with an intermittent blue light in the center approaching the ground. As darkness fell, he realized he was observing a massive UFO.
Could these mysterious occurrences be the reason the U.S. is reluctant to give up Guantanamo Bay Naval Base? Is there a secret underwater base for space vessels, possibly of human or extraterrestrial origin?
